How to Apply Your Die-Cut Vinyl Decal

Thank you for your purchase! Follow these steps to apply your decal for the best results.

What You’ll Need

  • Your decal (with transfer tape already applied)

  • A clean, dry surface

  • A credit card or squeegee

  • Rubbing alcohol (or mild soap and water)

  • Patience!

Step 1: Prepare the Surface

  1. Clean the surface where you’ll apply the decal.

  2. Make sure it’s smooth, dry, and free of dust, grease, or wax.

Tip: Use rubbing alcohol for glass, metal, or plastic surfaces.

Step 2: Position the Decal

  1. Place the decal (with backing still on) where you want it.

  2. Use masking tape to hold it in place, if needed.

  3. Double-check alignment before moving on.

Step 3: Apply the Decal

  1. Peel the backing paper off slowly, leaving the decal stuck to the clear transfer tape.

  2. Carefully press the decal onto your surface, starting from one edge and smoothing out as you go.

  3. Use a credit card or squeegee to firmly press over the decal, removing bubbles and ensuring good adhesion.

Step 4: Remove the Transfer Tape

  1. Slowly peel the transfer tape back at a sharp angle (almost flat against the surface).

  2. If the decal lifts, press it back down and smooth again before continuing.

Step 5: Final Touch

  • Smooth over the decal once more with your card or fingers.

  • Allow 24 hours before heavy cleaning or exposure to water.

✅ That’s it—you’ve applied your decal!
With proper care, it should last for years.
