How to Apply Your Die-Cut Vinyl Decal
Thank you for your purchase! Follow these steps to apply your decal for the best results.
What You’ll Need
-
Your decal (with transfer tape already applied)
-
A clean, dry surface
-
A credit card or squeegee
-
Rubbing alcohol (or mild soap and water)
-
Patience!
Step 1: Prepare the Surface
-
Clean the surface where you’ll apply the decal.
-
Make sure it’s smooth, dry, and free of dust, grease, or wax.
Tip: Use rubbing alcohol for glass, metal, or plastic surfaces.
Step 2: Position the Decal
-
Place the decal (with backing still on) where you want it.
-
Use masking tape to hold it in place, if needed.
-
Double-check alignment before moving on.
Step 3: Apply the Decal
-
Peel the backing paper off slowly, leaving the decal stuck to the clear transfer tape.
-
Carefully press the decal onto your surface, starting from one edge and smoothing out as you go.
-
Use a credit card or squeegee to firmly press over the decal, removing bubbles and ensuring good adhesion.
Step 4: Remove the Transfer Tape
-
Slowly peel the transfer tape back at a sharp angle (almost flat against the surface).
-
If the decal lifts, press it back down and smooth again before continuing.
Step 5: Final Touch
-
Smooth over the decal once more with your card or fingers.
-
Allow 24 hours before heavy cleaning or exposure to water.
✅ That’s it—you’ve applied your decal!
With proper care, it should last for years.
